Cosmological Model Tests with JWST

چکیده
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), which has recently become operational, is capable of detecting objects at record-breaking redshifts, z?15. This a crucial advance for observational cosmology, as these redshifts the differences between alternative cosmological models manifest themselves in most obvious way. In recent years, some hints have emerged indicating that Standard Cosmological Model could require correcting. One related to discovery remote galaxies whose correspond very young Universe (less than one billion years after Big Bang) but are similar nearby galaxies. issue such early do not enough time evolve into something late-Universe JWST observations high-redshift expected shed light on origin this issue. Here we provide results performing “angular diameter—redshift” test first observation data. We compare result with predictions standard ?CDM model and static models, including Zwicky’s “tired-light” model. latter currently assumed be ruled out by observations. challenge assumption show can natural straightforward way solving puzzle well-evolved better agreements high correcting evolution within framework. discuss several tests will important further research possibility revising expanding paradigm.

Lens Model Degeneracy and Cosmological Tests by Strong Gravitational Lensing
We study the relation between the gravitational lensing observables and the lens model and the cosmological parameters. We estimate the sensitivity of the lensing observables to the lens model and to the cosmological parameters. We show that the observables are primarily dependent on the lens model, while the dependence on cosmological parameters is minor (especially so for the dark energy para...

متن کاملWeek 2: Classical Cosmological Tests
In the following, we will assume that the Universe consists of nonrelativistic matter and possibly a cosmological constant. Before proceeding, let us justify our neglect of radiation. A variety of measurements (including, for example, simply weighing galaxies and then measuring their space density) indicate a nonrelativistic-matter density ρm ≃ 0.3ρc ≃ 1.5× 10−6 GeV/cm3 (for h ≃ 0.7). We observ...

متن کاملCosmological tests of general relativity with future tomographic surveys.
Future weak lensing surveys will map the evolution of matter perturbations and gravitational potentials, yielding a new test of general relativity on cosmic scales. They will probe the relations between matter overdensities, local curvature, and the Newtonian potential. These relations can be modified in alternative gravity theories or by the effects of massive neutrinos or exotic dark energy f...
